Suicide Prevention Poster project

- This would be the poster that I created for our suicide prevention project. At first I seriously had no idea what to make it out of.  But as I remembered the presentation that we had, depression was something that i really wanted to understand. Therefore i focused on explaining what depression was and explaining to the audience what it is and how it might look like, adding a brief paragraph on how it affects individuals.  I made each word or phrase, different to make them stand out, and catch the eye. I did enjoy this project though because it is a topic that i can personally relate to.

-This is a picture of the game that i attempted to re-create using the codes given on one of the links that i posted up earlier. I was able to successfully give function to the ball and the paddle. But, as you can the red block above was suppose to be one of the blocks that ...

Game On Reflection

- After, watching the documentary on video games, realized how much progress they have made ever since they were brought up in 1972. To know that the person who created the  first Pong game was simply trying to make a TV  monitor show some different type of entertainment, is pretty interesting.  These people are definitely visionaries.  I remembered seeing the Atari games come out in the animated series Spider-man from 1994. When I was smaller I remembered my older brother playing Mario and Dong King Kong on the Nintendo system, I played the Gameboy. Sega Genesis, was one of the game systems that I would see friends play. Overall it was a really interesting documentary on how, what, and when video games began to take over living room spaces.

KONY Poster

- This is my KONY poster. I had never used Photoshop before, and I had never worked on art by using a computer. Although I consider myself artistic, it was difficult to come up with this image. In my mind I had an image that I believed was going to be easy to bring to live by using Photoshop, but I was wrong. But, it helped come up with another image that I felt confident about. Not knowing how to use this program really frustrated me, I missed my pencil, and paper. What I'm mostly appreciative about is, that Steven Snell helped me out a lot. He helped me crop out the picture's background, basically, he helped me understand the wonderful world of Photoshop and for that I thank him.  He also gave me a link to see different fonts, I really like the fonts I used by the way it gives it decorartes the background just fine. As for what I believe I could have had worked on better was the background and on portraying emotion. Other then that I hope you understand the story that I tried to tell with my KONY 2012 poster.

KONY 2012!

- So, today was my 2nd time watching this video, and well I have been aware of the situation since my freshman year. To finally hear that the Invisible Children Foundation has been able to see results for all these years is HOPE. It means that as humans we can do a lot, by coming together, they started their own REVOLUTION. They brought awareness and then action, and now they're light into our world, to realize what has been occurring with these children. It is sad though to know how long it took for the U.S to approve this aid for the Ugandans.It was said that 2012 was the end of this world, but so far this year will be the beginning to the end of Kony, end to the war in Uganda, and the end for these blinding darkness that made these kids Invisible.

Movie Trailer Project- "Nightmare on Imperial Street"

-So this is our movie trailer parody. Although, I was new to this class I became part of this group, and enjoyed it. Although there was a couple ups and down, I can say it was worth it. I don't really now what to say other than I the turn out of this parody, especially the bloopers. Oh one more thing i don't know if on the credits my Smurfies where given credit, they helped me out a lot. Other then that i had fun with these kids. Hope you like it...

My Project Experience

-My experience doing this project, has been by far the most entertaining and interesting. First, of all  I don't like working in a group. But, like I mentioned this has been I very enjoyable experinece, I have been able to befriend new people and I have gotten along with all of them. Also I have been able to learn a little about them. We had the bossy one, the I'm bored one, the know it all, the star of the movie, and the follower. The bossy one, was the one telling you what to do, how to do, and loud. The I'm bored one, was the one saying that they were hungry, wanted to go home, and loud. The know it all, was the one who simply seemed and acted like they knew everything. The star of the movie seemed like they just wanted to be the one on that screen. And, last but not least the follower, the person who simply did what ever they were told to get this whole thing over with. So, my experience was very interesting. Although it seems interesting it's not all fun and happy, there are some moment when we have things that we disagree in, and other moments when we see someone doing more work then the rest. I believe though as though most of us have relied to much on one of our group members causing us to seem divided when it comes to making decisions and what-not.
